Terms & Conditions
Effective 16 May 2026 · Your contract with tee-time.uk.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the tee-time.uk website, mobile-web app, and related services (together, the "Service"), operated by Bednal Limited (company number 12582198, registered in England and Wales) ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and our Acceptable Use Policy. Where any conflict arises with this document, this document prevails for the subject matter it governs.
1. Definitions
- "Account" means a user account created on the Service, unique to an email address and tied to one or more device passkeys.
- "Club" means a third-party golf club whose tee-time availability is shown on the Service.
- "Booking" means a tee time reserved by the Service on your behalf at a Club, as a visitor, using the profile data you have provided.
- "Content" means any text, images, reviews, posts, or other material you submit to the Service.
- "Visitor Booking" reflects that we do not act as a member or agent of the Club; we complete the Club's public visitor booking flow on your behalf.
2. About this agreement
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and us. We may update them from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on the Service before they take effect. The "Effective" date at the top of this page tells you when the current version began to apply.
If you continue to use the Service after a material change, you are agreeing to the new version. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service.
3. Eligibility
To use the Service, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old;
- Be resident in the United Kingdom (the Service targets UK golf clubs and may not be appropriate for use elsewhere);
- Have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement; and
- Not be barred from receiving the Service under applicable law.
4. Your Account and security
- You create an Account by providing your name, email, and an optional handicap. You sign in using a device passkey (a WebAuthn credential bound to your device biometric or PIN) or, where available, a connected Google or Apple account. We do not store passwords for your Account.
- We also require a UK mobile phone number — either at sign-up (for passkey sign-ups) or before your first Booking (for Google or Apple sign-ups). Clubs need this number to contact you about the Booking; we will not allow a Booking to proceed without one.
- You are responsible for keeping your device(s) and associated passkeys secure. Anyone who can unlock your device using your biometric or PIN can also sign in to your Account.
- You may register additional passkeys on additional devices via the Account screen. You may remove any of them at any time. If you lose access to all your passkeys, you may need to re-register from a fresh device using your email.
- You must keep your profile data — particularly name, email, and phone — accurate. Clubs receive this data to complete the Visitor Booking and will use it to contact you if necessary (for example, weather cancellations).
5. What the Service does and does not do
- We aggregate publicly-available tee-time availability from third-party Clubs' booking systems and present it to you in a single interface. We read the same publicly-accessible visitor booking endpoints that the Club already exposes to walk-up bookers; we do not access any members-only or restricted areas.
- When you select a slot, we attempt to reserve it on your behalf by completing the Club's standard public visitor booking flow using your profile data. The Club, not us, is the supplier of the tee time.
- We do not currently charge for the Service and do not process payments for tee times. Where a Club's price is shown, payment (if any) is collected by the Club at or after the tee.
- We do not guarantee that an availability listing reflects real-time inventory. Slots may have been booked by another party between our last refresh and your selection. If a Booking cannot be completed, we will tell you and you may try again.
- We do not guarantee successful Bookings. Booking failures can occur because: a slot was taken in the moments before your tap; a Club's booking system was down; the Club's flow changed shape and our software did not yet account for it; the Club refused the Booking; or for other reasons outside our control. Where we know the outcome is ambiguous (for example, the Club's confirmation page did not parse), we will mark the Booking as "Unverified" and ask you to verify it directly with the Club.
- Club takedown requests. If you are a Club and you would prefer the Service not to interact with your visitor booking system, please contact admin@bednal.com. We will, in good faith, remove your Club from the Service.
- Social features. The Service includes opt-in social features — for example, posting an "open tee time" so other users can join your Booking, leaving a review of a Club, or following other golfers. Social features are off by default; you may enable them on the Account screen. When you enable them:
- Information you choose to share — your name, optional profile photo, home club, and the contents of any post or review — becomes visible to other users of the Service in the scope of the feature you used.
- You may receive in-app, email, or (if you separately opt in) web-push notifications when other users interact with your posts. You can adjust or revoke these at any time.
- We do not guarantee that any open tee time will be filled, that any post will be seen, or that you will be matched with any particular user.
- You can disable social features at any time. Posts and reviews you have already published remain visible until you delete them or close your Account.
- Your use of the social features is also governed by the Acceptable Use Policy, which sets the rules for what you may post and how you may interact with other users.
6. Your responsibilities
- Accurate data. Profile data you provide must be accurate. Submitting another person's data, or fictitious data, is a breach of these Terms.
- One Account per person. You may not maintain multiple Accounts or share an Account with another person.
- Show up or cancel. A confirmed Booking is your commitment to the Club. If you cannot attend, you must cancel through the Club according to that Club's cancellation policy. Repeated no-shows may cause Clubs to refuse future Bookings.
- Acceptable use. You must use the Service in line with our Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, you must not use the Service to book tee times you do not intend to play, to resell or speculate on slots, or to harass any Club or other user.
7. Cancellations, no-shows, and refunds
- The cancellation policy that applies to a Booking is the Club's, not ours. We display the Club's policy where we can read it from the Club's site; you are responsible for confirming the policy directly with the Club.
- We do not refund anything because we do not currently take payment for tee times. Where a Club charges a no-show or late-cancellation fee, that fee is between you and the Club.
- You can cancel any Booking through the Service if the Club's booking system supports it; otherwise you must cancel directly with the Club.
8. Your Content
- You retain ownership of any reviews, social posts, or other Content you submit to the Service. By submitting Content you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, and make that Content available to other users of the Service, for the purpose of operating the Service.
- You must have the right to submit any Content you submit. You must not submit Content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, infringing, or otherwise unlawful (see the Acceptable Use Policy).
- We may remove or refuse to display Content that breaches these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law. We will tell you when we do so unless doing so would be unlawful or unsafe.
9. Intellectual property
- The Service itself, including all original software, designs, and brand assets, is owned by Bednal Limited or its licensors.
- Tee-time data and Club information are sourced from the Clubs' publicly-available booking systems. Trademarks of the Clubs and their booking platforms remain the property of their respective owners.
- You may not copy, scrape, crawl, frame, or otherwise reproduce the Service or its data other than as expressly permitted by these Terms.
10. Disclaimers
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the data shown is accurate or current at the moment you act on it.
- We are not responsible for the conduct of any Club or the quality of any tee time you take. Disputes about the round itself — green fees, course condition, restaurant, weather, group composition — are between you and the Club.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
11. Limitation of liability
- Subject to clause 10.3, our total liability to you in connection with the Service, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, is limited to £100.
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses, or for loss of profits, loss of business, loss of opportunity, or loss of data.
- The Service is a free, pre-beta product. You acknowledge that the limitations in this clause are reasonable given the nature of the Service.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any third-party claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your Content, or your use of the Service in a way that breaches the Acceptable Use Policy or applicable law.
13. Suspension and termination
- We may suspend or terminate your Account if you breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or if applicable law requires it. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will give you notice and a chance to put things right.
- You can close your Account at any time from the Account screen. Closing your Account does not by itself cancel existing Bookings — you remain responsible for honouring those (or cancelling them with the relevant Club).
- Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including clauses 8 (licence), 9, 10, 11, 12, and 14 — survive termination.
14. Privacy
How we handle your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service you consent to that processing as described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged in-app or by email before they take effect. The current Effective date is shown at the top of this page.
16. Governing law and dispute resolution
- These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of these Terms, except that, if you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
